Expanded Tiger, Wolf, Bear Versions of "Fun 'n' Flexible" Fast Tracks Now Available

Posted on Sep 29 2009 - 4:40pm

As noted in the Announcement "Changes to Cub Scout Program Coming . . . (less "themes", more "Fast Tracks")", the "Fast Tracks" advancement-based meeting program plans are the Template for the Den Leader's Guide that will be issued in 2010.  The District Cub Trainer's initial comment about the "Fast Tracks" advancement-based meeting program plans was that Fast Tracks needs supplements in two main areas: how to make it fun (since they've edited out most of the game/fun elements), and creating "options" for more simple or equally good common sense alternate activities.  The District Cub Trainer has now created expanded versions of these meeting plans to add in "Fun" and "Options" for Tiger, Wolf and Bear, and available for the public as well, in our new "Den Meeting Playbook (and Fun Fast Tracks)" page, with "Fun 'n' Flexible" Fast Tracks upgrades for those levels.

THIS JUST IN: Camp O Ree Postponed

To be rescheduled, probably for October 23-25 for Boy Scout Troops.

Tiger, Wolf, Bear Versions of "Fun 'n' Flexible" Fast Tracks Now Available

Posted on Sep 18 2009 - 11:35am

As noted in the Announcement "Changes to Cub Scout Program Coming . . . (less "themes", more "Fast Tracks")", the "Fast Tracks" advancement-based meeting program plans have taken off, and will "take over" in 2010.  The District Cub Trainer's initial comments about the "Fast Tracks" advancement-based meeting program plans were: (1) much better than "just pull something out of the book" (since it gives you focus on what can go into a meeting); (2) much less complicated than the (thought to be) Official "Program Helps" themes approach (while there are good ideas in there, there is too much to follow); but (3) Fast Tracks needs supplements in two main areas: how to make it fun (since they've edited out most of the game/fun elements), and creating "options" for more simple or equally good common sense alternate activities.  The District Cub Trainer intended to create versions of these meeting plans to add in "Fun" and "Options", and now they are out there, at least for Tiger, Wolf and Bear, and available for the public as well, in our new "Den Meeting Playbook (and Fun Fast Tracks)" page, with "Fun 'n' Flexible" Fast Tracks upgrades for those levels.
