New "Group" Email Address System (and request to update Roster Data)

As part of an overall upgrade by our Website provider, in our Send Email box in the uppper left corner, we have new "group" email addresses, based on the District Roster on this Website.

Cub Training? . . . OK, with AM signups, we're on (but you still have to sign up in advance on September 10!) . . .

The next date for Cub Leader Specific Training might be Saturday, September 13, 9:30-1:30. But you still have to sign up, so we have sufficient materials! Signup deadline is extended to 10PM, Wednesday, September 10.

National Jamboree 2010 Anybody?

The Atlanta Area Council will be represented by 6 troops (216 youth and 24 adults) at the 2010 National Jamboree. Many other youth and Scouters will attend in staff positions. Interviews for troop leadership positions will be held in the early fall of 2008.

Got Scouts who want to go to Philmont?

The Atlanta Area Council Philmont 2009 expedition, June 16-28, 2009, is accepting applications for "Provisional Crew 1". This crew should be made up of Scouts that otherwise would not be able to attend Philmont this year. Applications are currently available online. Interviews to determine qualified participants in the crew will be conducted on a first come, first serve basis by the crew leader.
