Forgot how to Login? Click here . The South Fulton District is in the Atlanta Area Council, serving Scouts, Leaders and Parents in South Fulton County (including Chattahoochee Hill Country, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Palmetto & Union City).  See this Google Map for the location of our Cub Scout Packs and contact information on each (boys in 1st through 5th Grade are Cub Scouts, grouped in "Dens", with "Dens" grouped in "Packs"). Need more information? Please contact:

Visitors, and District and Unit Leaders: Please see the "Menu" of items to the left.  "About Us & How to Join" tells you about our Programs and Units, and gives you the paperwork you need to sign up.  The "Calendar" gives detail on events, "Files" takes you to District administration (including Popcorn) and event information, "Links" contains many useful links to official and other resource sites, "Leader Training" describes options to learn more to provide an easier and better program, and the "Roster" has contact information for our District and Unit Leaders.

Why does my South Fulton District "EBlast" email say "Troop 1 EBlast"??

Posted on Mar 10 2009 - 3:58pm
Because the South Fulton District Website is using an "off the shelf" troop website software (but a pretty darn good one!), the "Eblast" says "Troop 1", and there are some other quirks, especially in the so called "Troop Roster", where every District Member is entered twice, as an "Adult Leader" (applicable if the person is performing a "District" leadership role), and as a "Scout" (and in that capacity, if serving in a Unit and working with the youth, noted as a "Youth Leader" if he or she is one of the top two leaders of the Unit, such as Scoutmaster or Committee Chair).

Troop Leader Training Upcoming in March, April

Posted on Mar 1 2009 - 4:40pm
Brent Summers has announced that the next dates for Boy Scout Troop Adult Leader Training are (1) Saturday, March 7, 2009 (9:00 to 3:00) (this will cover Fast Start, New Leader Essentials, and Youth Protection Training), (2) Saturday, March 28, 2009 (9:00 to 3:00) (this will cover Leader Specific Orientation), and (3) 8:00 pm Friday April 10 to 3:00 pm April 12 (this will cover Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills). The first two sessions will be held in the Scout Hut of Troop 54, 2651 Church Street, East Point, GA, and the weekend session location is To Be Determined. All sessions are necessary to complete the training.

Are You Trained? (Please report your Youth Protection Training. Thanks!)

A Request to All, and an announcement: The request is that if you've taken Youth Protection Training in the last two years, would you please email cubleadertraining@southfultonscouting.com (we're reporting total training to the Council Training Committee, and the records are really really thin; Troop or Pack 631 leaders who have reported to me don't need to repeat). Note: Youth Protection Training can be taken "on line" at On Line Training, and is required to be re-taken (refreshed) every two years. See the Leader Training page for more information and other Training Options.

Cub Leader Training is "ON" for Feb. 21 9:30-2 at Woodward PRIMARY School

Posted on Feb 18 2009 - 11:09am
The next date for Cub Leader Position Specific Training is Saturday, February 21, 9:30-2:00, but you still need to sign up if you'll attend so we have sufficient materials for the group. More detail is in the Calendar Entry. Email cubleadertraining@southfultonscouting.com and/or sign up in this Cub Training Signup Survey, or Register In the Calendar Site (yeah, in that "Register", you're a "Scout") to reserve a spot. You must sign up in advance to reserve a spot (and if you know of someone who will attend or should attend, shoot the contact information to cubleadertraining@southfultonscouting.com).
